This has been going on for quite a while now, and slowly seems to be getting worse. The idle revs are hunting quite badly majority of the time although not all. (no correlation between engine temp) and it seems to be quite sluggish through the range when giving it some poke.

Then last night for some strange reason as i was pulling out of a junction I gave it a little bit of boost but it didn't really seem to go anywhere. it did sound quite strange and it kicked a cloud out of the back. tried it again when i got it into second and the same thing happened. but then a couple of miles down the road and the problem seemed to have disappeared.

When the idle revs are steady they do seem a little high, and now when the temp is cold the revs seem to be excessively high for quite some time (1500rpm)

I've already checked the throttle alignment and they seemed fine. but haven't fiddled with anything else for fear of making it worse.

As far as flash codes go they were clear the last time i checked (just over a week ago) but haven't had time to check since last nights hiccup.

I know another trip to zedworld would be most helpful. but I've got a few jobs i want doing before I take her on any lengthy drives yet. So anybody got any ideas for the time being?

Well sort the temp sensor first, if its crappy, and what colour was the crap? Sounds like you need to work thriugh the usual suspects first

the temp sensor was replaced last time i was at zedworld. so i don't think its that, although it wasn't a brand spanking one fitted. I don't really know what colour it was that came out the back, i wanna say a sort of brown beige colour as opposed to the expected black.

Sounds like you need to get it up to Jeff for a conzult mate. The ECU won't show up idle problems like tps, cas, etc set wrongly, the ecu error codes just tell you that it's failing to communicate with something. Common one for example is code 34 det sensor, however this just means that the sensor is not responding to the ecu. Not that you are having Dett.

Try the idle control valve

It was all set up last time i was at zedworld, so i don't know how it would have adjusted itself....

They do stick and become faulty z usually are either maf ,cas injector plugs or idle valve in my experiance worth a try
