If I was a day later, this car would have been on a scrap pile, which would have been a great shame.

But I've now expanded my Z collection with the addition of this rather pretty pearl white NA.

I had to remove the front bumper to tow it back. Its really tidy and had some money spent on it, but its not all gravy, as the engine is knackered, as is the gearbox and also the radiator! (thats probably down to the wrong top hose!!! :slap: ) the exhaust has been sold as had a couple of interior trim panels but I've already fitted new ones. I have an engine and manual gearbox 'in stock' hence the reason I'm gonna repair this one up! :thumbup1:

Theres no way I'm breaking this one, its far too tidy for that, plus it helps me get rid of an engine and gearbox out the garage that I cannot seem to sell.

It was taken in part payment for a job by a local mechanic that I know of, it was owned by g60badboy on here and then sold to dubberdean with a dodgy autobox, which led to a knackered engine 5 miles into the journey on the way home.

It looks as if it has my spoiler on possibly. for that reason you should scrap it :lol::lol:

it is a fibreglass spoiler... how do you know its one of yours?

I would have demanded my money back - then scrapped it anyways !:whistling:

:lol::lol:

well done on saving that Z - externally she looks a beaut, it would have been a crime to have scrapped her.

Exactly - I'm pleased you saved that one Baz!!

joking aside you are welcome to come and get my TT running. as much coffee and biscuits as you want and a bit of cash for your troubles. lol

how far have you got with the tt engine?

erm well I've tiled the whole bathroom and fitted new sink, toilet & bath. oh and new taps lol. :whistling:

on the car I changed over the PAS gubbins that was a nightmare but the gearbox is still laying there underneath the car, was gonna try and attack it next week.

LMAO after 2 - 3 weeks you've done well on the bathroom mate, I'll have to come round for a pee while Mikey fixes the engine and box :D

Was that the chap from huddersfield or bradford or something, im sure I remember it cropping up for sale with a dead autobox... funny how the engine failed 5 miles later!!

yeah thats the one mate, good memory! he spent a fortune on the car apparently, but the £1700 quote to fix the autobox made him cut his losses. I guess the money was spent on tidying it up, its already had new rear arches and a fibreglass spoiler, and probably a full respray.

well the bathroom has only taken a week, but working from 7am to 5pm some days then doing the bathroom until midnight, I just dont feel like doing anything else when I have got spare time. Bathroom is almost done now though then its back on with the cars. :clap:

Your black Z looks exactly the same as mine apart from the lights lol... Black gaffe tape across most of it, with white masking tape where the high level brake light is :D
