I'm treating the zed to a full respray. It is currently black but i'm bored of it now. I want to go for a full colour change.

I've been humming and hawwing for a while now and still cant make up my mind.

I fancied something like mercedes palladium silver but im worried it may look a bit dull.

So... Any pics for inspiration would be great. Doesnt have to be a zed.

I dont want 'in your face'. I'm after different but classy. No lambo orange. No yellow. No lime green. No camellion double super sparkle glitter flip. :)

Thanks

Too close to black though. I dont fancy such a dark colour. The sun shows up too many imperfections - no matter how much you keep on top of it. It can either look amazing or crap.

I am liking the idea of a blue pearl over white....

Mine is purple. Doesn't show the muck quite as badly as the black but I do have to wax it after every wash. No cheating with two in one!

Nowt wrong with the Merc Palladium silver mate......

.....It looks great in the sun, yet still not so dull in less clement weather!!

Plus, unlike black, it won't show dirt or swirl marks etc......

In fact I'll be chosing that colour again next time.........

Richard:wink:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Silver is the best for hiding everything. Even when there filthy they look clean.

So true.....

......and might I also suggest taking a look at Gio's immaculate 99-spec 300zx? His is a darker silver not dissimilar to the Merc colour - and that looks just superb in the flesh!!

Cheers guys. Yeah Richard, palladium silver is a cracking colour. I just put a deposit on a merc this morning in palladium. My worry is that there isn't much 'shape' to the zed panels - if you know what I mean. It could make the colour look a little flat???

I defo don't want plain silver. The palladium is more of a grey, or BMW space grey, VW iron grey metallic - they are all fairly similar.

I'll check out gios
