with the plenium coming off, can you tell me which parts i will need to buy and where from.

 

are there any hoses under there that need replacing if so what size/ type.

any gaskets.....

and connectors....

 

basically everything i need to get i would love input as to what i need please.

ideal time to do the water bypass and egr removal if you havent already. check and clean injector connectors, check PCV's etc

SFS do a hose kit I think for the water by-pass? Leave Anthony D a meesage in the traders section.

i have water bypass, i just need to know PARTS i need to get......

1. Potential PCV's if they're bust when you check them

2. upper and if you're removing it, lower plenum gaskets (I warn you the lower ones are NOT cheap OEM)

3. spark plugs are good to change while it's off, was the easiest spark plug change I've ever done on the Z

4. doing the cam belt can also be a good idea if you're removing the lower plenum, as the top idler/tensioner is on the lower plenum

5. heater pipes if they're dead or dieing, much easier to get to with the plenum off

6. blanking plates for EGR delete if you're going to do it

7. de-greaser to clean everything up again

8. oh if you're removing the lower plenum, you may need rocker cover gaskets, as at least one has to come off (Drivers side from memory)

9, a fresh tube of silicon sealant, for on thing for the rockers, if nothing else.

 

That's all I can think of as I've just done the job, if I remember anything more, I'll let you know.

if your taking the rocker covers off then its a good time to get them powder coated or sprayed !

 

i'm planning on doing mine again shortly and i'm replacing the rear water pipes too.

Im in the middle of re fitting my plenum now. I Took mine off to do the water bypass and also the threads on my old plenum where ducked. I have done

 

Water by pass. Cleaned and replaced some of the injectors. New injector connectors. Replaced old coil pack connectors. Because my det sensor has been chopped about im by passing this to till i take the engine out. Cheak and clean all connector/plugs. I have spent most of today cleaning them.

 

Oh the seals the injectors sit on. I used mjp for plenum gasket, injector plugs & seals

u can replace the pipes with silicone hoses if you like but there is non there as standard
