Missing Vacuum Hose???

Underneath the drive side throttle body there is a hose connection point that looks like it should have some 6 mm vaccuum hose on it. It points down from the throttle body and towards the drive.

Have SE forgotten to put something back after my new head was put on. She seems really short on power at the moment

It's a 1990 UK spec. car

yup, there should be a small hose connected to it.

it should be connected to a small metal pipe which is located next to the plenum.

It's not the 4mm hose that wends it's way back to the solenoids which is definiteky still in place. If you look over the back of the spring type thing on the throttle positioning rod just to the right hand side of the throttle body you can see the one I mean.

On Lymon's attached diagram, it look like a nozzle that is just down and right of the right hand side of the red marked hose

Still not it.

Its' furth back than thise, probably the other side of the butterfly. To see it you have to look at the other side throttle body/inlet hose just behind the large diameter spring type thing.

Yes thats what that top red pipe fits onto.

I'm familiar with the top red pipe, but this is only 4mm. The one I'm talkin about is further back amd must be at least 6mm. It's also oriented directly towards the rear of the car rather than the top red pipe which is oriented towards the wing.

The passenger side has a mirror image connection but I can't see where that goes

Embarassing to say that although I have a digital camera and write software for a living I have not worked out how to attach pictures

Sounds like they've removed the throttle body cooling lines thats all - quite common to by-pass these wink.gif

Andy
