you never seen a S12 before mate? Go on SXOC there is tons of them :)

Ooh! I lusted after these when I was younger but had to make do with a sunny zx coupe

Me too.....lol

Aaah, that takes me back to my teenage years in the 1980s.....

....It looks a nice example - although I must confess I always preferred the Celica from that same era, to the Sylvia

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I second that Rich, had a 83/84 Y reg celica doing my first Paramedic course, takes me back that.....lol

I cant really see the difference between it and a Bluebird. Its not retro enough to be retro cool.

The Z32 was out the same year as that car - they look more like 20 years apart.

LOL - I guess it is/was pretty much a Bluebird coupe.......

Which is why I preferred the Celica of the day. And the Starion wasn't bad either.....

......the Z32 had barely arrived in the UK in 1989 (not many on F plates I'd wager, most early UKs were G or even H plates); that Sylvia must have been one of the last since the S13 200sx also came out here about the same time - replacing the Sylvia.

G-reg is Aug 89 onwards, Yes it was the end of the s12 production and beginning of the Z32, but what i was getting at is the difference in terms of styling of the time seems more than just a single generation gap imo.

Aye me too, mine was running cossie T3 conversion, extra injectors, I/C etc absolutely loved it. This is what started me off loving Jap cars.

Yeah snap mate! Had the 5th injector drive, big front mount intercooler, power boost valve, boost retard system and big Hybrid T3 Turbo!!! Also stripped the interior out and perspex the windows! Wash pushing 330ish in the end.. Not bad up from the standard 135BHP!! You really could tune the knackers out of these cars!! How silvia engineering made there name originally...

Yup - I know what you meant Dave; as I totally agree with you!!

The S13 and Z32 jumped way ahead of their predecessors in one single move; which as you say, put years between the old and new!!
