ill get the clocks apart at the weekend and have a good look and fix them down better

I agree, the part of the needle that tends to get caught on the facia is the rear point of the needle. The reason tends to be, people are a little too careful not to get glue coming out the centre hole of the dial as the el face is pressed down, so around the middle of the facia will lift and catch the needle.

When you get the dash front off, move the needle up and down with your finger to see where it is catching.

For the speedo and Rev you should be able to blow the needle around effortlessly to ensure good adhesion. The temp needle you can push it to the high and it will drop by itself, the fuel will stay wherever you put it until under load.

Sorry for the hijack, but I have asked this before, to non avail.... My gauge works fine, but my low fuel light does not work at all, never has, bulb is fine, all the tracks on the board etc. are fine, is the float/sensor easy to get to?

If your gauge is working it wont be the float in the tank. I think the low fuel light comes on when the needle goes down to or below the empty line, so will be the circuit on the gauge. I have a spare if you want to change the fuel gauge, if nothing else but eliminate the gauge from the equation .

I think I 'might' have one my self come to think of it, if not, I shall give you a shout Groover, cheers, makes more sense that than being in the tank...
