Right having spoken to a lot of you at JAE and heard the obvious concerns in relation to what other clubs had to offer, plus going around and seeing other club stands.

I think for next year ill be concentrating on getting a bit of entertainment going on.

I have a projector so thats not a problem, and also we have sound. but what i was thinking along the lines off was something a bit special.

My friend who i DJ with runs his own DJing business and gets hired out for all sorts of events. and if we can get the correct generator that doesnt induce spikes into the system id like to see about hiring him out on the saturday night. (though if i paid for his ticket im sure he might even do it for free or extremely discounted)

Would also like to throw out there group activities for us as well, like 5 aside football with a soft ball for obvious reasons, or even soft cricket lol especially if we have the same location next year that im hoping we can get, tug-o-war and on the friday night to encourage more people to get there on the friday and spend the weeekend, possible a few drinking games movie night, or something else.

hell we could even do the 3 legged race once drunk!, or even egg and spoon race / sack race anything like that.

So get your ideas down, as i said all will be looked at, some might be used, other might not be so don't be offended if your idea isn't used. it just might not be suitable at the event.

Even going to see about getting some of the JAE staff involved as well, show them that the 300zx.co.uk club isn't just about sitting in a marque talking about how shiny our polished gear knobs are lol

Could do a spare parts swap stand, seeing as we all seem to have sheds full of stuff, why not pool our resources and help each other out, like a swap meet kinda thing.

Good oportunity for the Reo's to get ideas from the locals for mini meets so could organise the stand into regions, aswell let the locals meet each other. maybe put some kind of questionaire together.

seems this year alot of repairs and mods went on from what I can see, maybe jeff would be up for a general maintenance and tune session where he can show people common faults and fixes and checks to do etc??

It was mentioned about putting a list up of what people had to sell so people didn't have to ask, only problem is, would people really want to bring loads of parts along when they are already packed out with camping gear, that would be up to the individual though.

Id rather not segregate people into regional groups, Next year might be an idea for us to ware 300zx.co.uk shirts with our forum names on, this would make it easier for people to know who was who, so if a member wanted to talk to a REO at least they don't have to ask 20 people before finding out whos is there local rep lol

I shall have a word with jeff about that and see what he thinks.

More food. Not just the cheapest we can find. I'm happy to do an afternoons cooking and maybe a breakfast or two. I'd like to see chicken, lamb, pork, and steak next year. Failing that I will bring my own again to share out. Sweet corn went down well and is cheap and easy to cook. Some decent full English breakfast items would also be good.

The judging/ prizes thing needs a re-vamp.

On my iphone at the mo but will let you know what I mean later. Some of us had a chat about this at the show.

Laters!!

Great ideas there Vods, I would like to see the game musical chairs played, with a great big prize for the person left in a chair at the end!!!!

:sneaky2::sneaky2::sneaky2::sneaky2::sneaky2::sneaky2::sneaky2::sneaky2::oops:

You cant go wrong with Fancy dress and Karaoke when you have a large amount of drunk people in a field.

I see that you mentioened projector, avoid using this to show a movie or something as this tends to do is split people .....and if your allocating a marque for this then everyone else has to find somewhere else to be loud and drunk. But using it for background visuals with more lively entertainment going in is a great idea.

You dont need sound to watch porn :lol:

I think use the projector of pics of the day on a loop or something, i doubt very much you could or be worth watching a movie.

Normally Jasons Beast in the marquee is enough light and sound lol, but he had a problem with his head unit.

On a more serious note, i personally dont think we need a DJ, just a sound system to play music, after all the majority of the age group of members is not lending itself to rave or techno lol

Its good to have the banter we do at night, without the music being too loud.

There is already, 5 aside and tug of war organised by JAE in comps with other clubs, but i think fancy dress is a good option.

I think having more comfortable furniture inside the marquee or huge bean bags like a Moroccan theme.

Projector could be used for driving games, competitions in conjunction with an X box or PS3, even a gaming chair could be handy as we have alot of members into gaming.

Get some zeds doing the Nurberg ring on Forza going, could do a club gaming competition and see if we could get some prizes organised.

Some good ideas floating about, sounds like it going to be a bloody brilliant JAE 2012, I would like to see a bigger turn out from the club, more people getting there asses out and having a laugh with us all.

As Andy mentioned a bigger selection of food would be nice, I dont mind bringing some to share too.

How much would a comedian for an hour or so cost? that would get us all together in the tent and start the party going?

I personally would like to see a few ladies with few clothes on washing our cars, not to everyones taste but just an idea, and a photo shoot session with them spread on our cars too :santa:

A nice group photo next year of us all too :cowboy:

I`m liking the gaming sessions and the Jaikai lazer lights

Agree with groover on the loud music thing,(he is gettin on a bit) we need to chat aswell, so a bit of ambient music in the back ground with the projector showing zed clips from you tube , top gear etc

Deffo more people to attend!!!, get saving now if your skint, get your zeds ready and shiny, you have approx 1 year to sort it out, if it turns up in primer, dents, smoking...so what...just turn up and give the club some support.

I will think of some more stuff to add later, I`m excited already and deffo coming for the full weekend next year!!

custom gobos is fairly easy, price depends on how complicated the design, i may even have a few nissan and Z gobos lying around. or expect to pay about £30 for the first custom and then about £5 a copy

I was wondering about a truss structure on the grass outside the marquee lit up with scans roaming over the cars . and stage blocks to park some cars on.

but it would be a lot of work.

bigger generator

and a battery /inverter so we can run some lights past midnight.

led lighting so the marquee is not lit by a big halogen flood

background music (not a DJ as i'm old and deaf and wont be able to talk over it)

fridge for the food and possibly the beer

bacon for breakfast

more comfortable furniture

Xbox or PS3 with driving chairs and projector

possibly guitar hero with drums and vocal and 4 guitars

I have all the above available and a van to get it there, but would need a lot of help. or for a small cash and burger incentive i could get it delivered and set up

awards:

a lot of the categories were facts, you cant vote on a fact, if we keep the highest milage, oldest zed etc, then get the person filling out the voting form to put down their own milage and car age

we used to have more "best" categories ie best swb, best wide arch, best lwb, best slicktop, best mod, best standard zed, most tidy zed.

I believe these were droped after the essex jae when there were not enough cars to vote on.

with the 32 car turn out these sort of awards are great because more people get the chance to win an award for being good.

everyone should vote for their favorite and second favorite in each category.

this would make the runner up prize work better.

it will make scoring a little bit harder,

but will avoid the situation we had wher ethere was no runner up

and also the situation where 31 people vote for car A and 1 person for car B, so car B is the runner up. but 30 people thought car C was much better than car B

How much would a comedian for an hour or so cost?

I believe David Cameron, Nick Clegg and Ed Miliband MP all charge around £100.00 per hour......lol

I think we have enough comedians on the forum to not warrant paying out several hundred pounds for an hour lol

what about renting a luxury toilet unit to go next to the marquee so we dont have to walk a long way for fairly poor facilaties?

.

[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Not that i was there, but always thought JAE being the biggest, then if EVERY zed from here had a clip on number plate for the front with the persons username on it, then you'd know who's car you were looking at and who's who!

With the JAE logo on one side and the Forum Logo the other, it also helps promote the club.

I was thinking Chubby Brown :punk:

We have had a few comedians in our pub that charge about £100 per night, Surely there must be a local guy willing to spend an hour getting us giggling

I'm sure there would be mate, and a great idea, nothing like a good laugh....:tt2:

T Shirts is a good idea, i spent most of the time asking who's who, and i still missed loads out.

Volunteers to help out with any ideas you do use, its a bit unfair to leave it to just a few mods/club staff.

Btw a quick thanks to Paul(pablito) and Andy Isherwood for the bbq duties, kept my kids happy.

Now thats a cracking idea Paul

I second that Paul
