am gonna kick something

why would my p/s belt be bursting under accelaration this is the 3rd in 2 weeks..the pump is fine and lining up correctly

Have you got an under drive pulley or any kind of alloy pulleys fitted? seen a few problems with these, especially the cheaper E-BAY one`s

Check your crank pulley for collapsed ridges. My old pulleys edges had crumbled and left some very sharp edges :(

is that the right part numberfor a powersteering belt for a 1995 n/a

Sounds too long that from memory, can check in the morning for you when I get in the

workshop

From memory without looking, the Power Steering belt on a TT is 993 or something, definitely below the 1000 mark, so I would assume the N/A would be similar or the same. That being said, there is a difference for the Fan belt between UK and JDM models, so why not make an entirely different setup for the NA while they're at it I suppose.

the ones iv put on have went on pretty easily but from what iv read that shouldnt be the case..if i remember the las one i put on was arount the 997..
