Do you need to swap the whole subframe over too? Just been reading about it on the Z1 site and it looks like you do, I always thought it was just a case of swapping the diff over?! I'd like to keep my TT subframe if poss as its all polybushed up, but if it needs to go then furry muff lol :confused1:

Subframe, Diff, driveshafts, hubs and rear toe arms.

(or the whole entire lot, to make the job simpler)

..and rear half of propshaft - or NA one piece

Thanks for the reply Dave, thought that may be the case.

My last NA already had a TT box and relevant prop so its donating all its bits to the TT.

I dismantled the subframe from the diff and arms etc to save space, wish I never did now

although you loose the strength of the TT drive shafts ....its not just 0-60 the whole driving experience alters..it becomes an overtaking animal.....slightly less top end but then again when do you ever do 170+ on the motorway ?? .i have plummed for the leader diff gears which are as near as damnit to the NA but retains the TT diff and drive shafts......removed the hicas alltogether and have had fitted driftworks lock out bar

Or option 3 which I'm doing: Skyline GTR diff.

It's an R200 so fits the NA subframe and gives the weight saving.

Is a 4.1 ratio like the NA

BUT has all the 6 bolt big spline flanges like a TT R230 so you can use the bigger driveshafts

AND is a better plate diff rather than viscous.

I'm 1/2 way through doing mine so will let you know how it goes (don't hold your breath though, could take me a while!!)

thats an awesome discovery shame the tt wont just hold the gtr diff, make life a doddle. could the tt diff housing potentially hold the na gearing.

i think the spline sized are different mate .....so its all out if you want the NA gears

the leader gears are shorter still than the NA set and do fit directly in the TT diff ..but mucho wonga

also setting up the clearence shims on the gears can be a real PITA ...one job probably best left to the professionals me thinks
