Some of you may remember I bought a Jeep last year and converted it into a half decent off roader, to attack green lanes etc, its great fun in the wet cold winter weather! :cowboy:

Me and my mate have just converted his Land Rover Discovery into a bobtail pickup, and that gave me the urge to get another one for myself straght away lol

So now I'm the proud owner of a V8 Bobtail Range Rover, its got everything I need for off roading and has had thousands spent on it, 3 previous owners and 39000 miles, which could well be believable looking at vosa website.

The bodywork is fairly battered due to the nature of the vehicle, but i'll no doubt be adding to them and really dont care... the chassis is very clean indeed and never been welded! lift kit, big knobbly tyres, winch, shortened body, big shouty V8... its even got a spade, hi lift jack and an axe amongst other things in the boot! cant wait to start off roading again! :cowboy:

Comments welcome whether they are good or bad I just dont care, its no beauty queen but I dont think much will get in my way now! :tank::lol:

Cheers Bri, I dont plan to buy many tyres for it! Its got Insa Turbo Dakar Deset Tracks on at the mo which seem to be good for most situations! Although a bloke at work has got some 16s (I think) with brand new 33s on for sale... :devil2:

I like it. Should be ideal for what you've got planned for it. I'm off to scour ebay lol

Got it for £1150 which is an absolute steal, its got about 4-5 grands worth of stuff fitted. Come winter time it'd be twice the price!

had 33's on my full size bronco and they played havoc with the 4 speed auto overdrive and my present rangie too,to tall a gearing for me and the rolling mass of 33's makes the car less nimble out the hole. Each to his own and all that:wink:

It runs on LPG and has just had a new v8 installed.

Sitting next to a normal defender you sit at least a foot higher and it's funny

stopping and looking down at everyone below; it's like driving a tank!

So now do you understand why its better than mine.... ? :clown::surrender:

Looking good Baz we had a bobtailed Range Rover at one point named "Bob the Beastie" spot the pun lol. Once I get some pics off my dad's computer I'll show you some of the offroaders we've had over the years!
