100's have been arrested (as quoted on BBC website)! ..and will probably be released without charge, or will go to court where the case will be rejected on lack of evidence.. In the highly unlikely event of a prosecution, the culprit will be detained for 1 month in a juvenile prison and forced to play playstation all day while he learns about the best way to rob cash machines and jack cars.

Why haven't they called the troops out FFS? The police were just standing by and letting the looters get on with it last night. Many of the shops destroyed by fire had flats above them. I'm amazed that nobody has been killed yet (although the fire brigade can't be sure until they have access to the properties)

I think it's probably the most disgusting display of violence and distruction i've seen in my life. Admittedly in the middle east they had a good reason to riot but over here setting buildings alight with people inside nearly dying, one innocent guy in hospital shot and numerous police injured because the police shot one guy in self defence?

 

Pull the other one, it's a bandwagon for the scum to jump on board and cause as much damage as they can, while they can. Absolutely ridiculous

 

Bring out the army, shoot a few of them and see how soon they stop doing what they're doing the bunch of spineless ****s.

Well, Cameron's speech has convinced me that they haven't got a set of balls between them. What use is 16,000 policemen, if they can't use reasonable force? I don't believe for a minute that justice will be done - its bullschit.
