89 Oe, spoiler help

I've acquired a brand new fibreglass 89 spec spoiler from a member. after rubbing down with wet and dry, done 3 coats of primer, wet n dry between each coat, now had 3 coats of KH3 Nissan black, again with wet n dry between.

shine looks fantastic.

My question is.

Is it better to polish to a super shine then lacquer with say 2 coats.

or laquer then polish the hell out of it.

I want it to last the way it looks now.

I don't know much about painting mate, but it's the laquer that gives the paint it's shine. iirc pro's will sand the final coat of paint with very fine wet and dry and then laquer it. Then they do the same with the laquer coats, then finally cut it back with cutting compound.

I don't think your paint will be hard enough at the moment to polish it, think you need to wait a few weeks before you do that.

As I said though mate, i'm no expert on it.
