Is it difficult to replace the actuator hoses, as ive seen they unfortunately have boost jets in them causing boost spikes!

unfortunately the boost jets/ mig tips are at the actuator end, so need to replace the entire line.

whats needed to do so please.

the Passenger side is really easy .. just take off the Upper boost pipes and Top Hard pipe and its there right under them ..

Drivers side well there a few ways but take all top boost pipes and hard pipe like other side

but the pipe goes under the turbo and round the back of it ...

the way i did it was by taking the hard inlet plastic pipe of the front of turbo oh and the inlet flex pipe

but i think it can be done by removing the engine mount or steering pump to looks of it

its kinda hard to get to so hope you havent got trotters for hands .. lol

funny you say that, i can see and get to passenger side ok, hence seeing the boost jet, but the drivers side OMFG!!!!!!

had no idea it had boost jets in..

yep its not easy must of tuck me a good 30 mins just to get old off and new line on

there is 2x 12mm bolts holding the plastic inlet housing on but to get to them i used two 10" 3/8th extentions and there is a gasket too

when u put it back on use some gasket sealent to seal it but all so helps to keep gasket, bolts in place

mine had boost jets too that i didnt know off but i tuck mine out as i have fitted a boost controler

so its takes only 30 mins to get to the drivers side?? thats not bad at all.

thats not taking in to account of the upper pipes and wires ...

oh another tip .. if u look at the turbo from the front facing

one bolt sits about 7'oclock and other about 2'oclock and u need to feed the extentions

by the side of the steering pump to get your rench in there

How did you see it mate? I thought the were buried in the tube.

nope, the left side on was off when i got under it, and saw it in the tube at the end.

aah, that's a bugger then. Had them in mine aswell and as said pass side is easy enough but the drivers is a bit of a git to get at.

there should be enough slack in the original pipes to pull down and cut the ends off...should only need to snip off 25-35mm to cut the tips off iff there at the end of the pipe. Ive cut mine twice in the past from the top so i know you should have the lenght in the pipe....hth:wink:

but getting to it to fit it back on afterwards..........

if u had the engine mount off u can get to it from under the car ... but u need to support the engine

and its still tight to get in there

Just make sure you keep the boost pressure down matey, until the jets are gone. Then get the EBC properly configured to ur engine spec....

Hi mate,

Done mine the other day,

i jacked the front of my car up

got underneath,

took the bracket that tightens alternator completley off,

pushed alternator as far as it will go away from engine,

then if you look up betweenthe alternator and engine you will see the pipe (its quite far back),

got my new piece of hose put some grease in the end of it to help it slip on,

fed the pipe up by the rack looking through where the alternator is you will be able to see where the hose is going and you want it to come up straight so its trying to push on actuator,

then the akward bit with one hand push pipe up and the other hand get it between alternator and engine and you will be able to guide it on,

Saves the stripping but not the swearing and your knuckles.

goodluck mate.

Probally the awkward way lol, but you hardly have to strip anything.

didnt do it, and couldnt, trip to the garage i think. i can literally get my hand on it, just cant pull if off. :-(

tried 3 times mate, as siad i can far king toutch the damm line with my hand, just cant get the plyers on it to remove the clip and pull it off, only want to look in the end for a 'boost jet'.

u need to pull it hard ( no wise cracks! ).. get some plyers on there to turn it .. to brake the seal .. then use some force to pull it down
