Right oh!

 

A couple of us are meeting up at the Dukes Head pub on Saturday the 6th August for a natter and a beer or two. They do food I believe as well. It would be great to see any Sussex zeds there, and anyone else is of course welcome too. Totally off the cuff, no real reason just to meet up.

I Might just show up for this. I'm in Surrey from Tuesday 2nd to Saturday 6th, heading back ooop Norf on the Saturday and one of my ex's lived in Crawley Down so I know the pub well.

What time are people staying till?

Because of the m25 closure I don't think I will be there till 2 or 3

Yeah still closed 7 to 8. After yesterday's accident so I will be couple of hours late too but will still turn up as long as someone is there

i asume its also shut in the 8 to 7 direction too? I,m between 9 and 8 and have moved 5 car lengths in half hour. Guess i should have checked first. Not heared anything on the radio

Yeah should of said both ways. An artic truck went through central reservation yesterday afternoon.some fatalities, I was ment to go to sidcup to pick up some tyres.

still on m25. Now 1 mile from j8. Planning to turn round and go home when i get there unless road opens by then. 6 hours. Half tank fuel and 5 miles traveled :(

Hi all,I am sorry most of you had trouble getting there, just hollow point and me made it. If you are still all interested, I can make another date for us.Is Saturday or Sunday best for everyone?

Helps to know the back roads when this happens. I had to go to Aldershot the night before to pick an exhaust up, drive down to Aldershot was fine, coming back I had to overshoot the M25 on the A3 by one junction, then come off and take all the back roads through buckland etc. back to Redhill, pickup my laptop from my work mates house and then back roads back to Epsom to my hotel. If I was any normal person on business down there, I'd have been stuffed, luckily Jnct 7 - 8 and it's surrounding area are my old stomping grounds.

 

I turned up because I knew my friend I was meeting would make it, as she lives in Redhill and was in Crawley Down that day anyway, I was half expecting no one else to turn up because of the M25, then when Sonic turned up I was pleasantly surprised :D

 

Should definitely do another one soon, not sure if I'm down in the car or on the train next month though and also not sure if I'll be down on the Saturday or not, but I'll see what I can do :D

Only just spotted this - will deffo try to make the next one ;)
