.........is it ALWAYS a ****ing audi! Whether it's behind you and up your arse like a German Shepherd wanting to make friends, or in front of you insisting that big 30 sign says 20! What IS IT with these people!? Do you just instantly get a bachelors degree in being a ****ing **** when you jump in one of these cars or what?

Hoy, My best mate has an audi!

So I'd have to agree with you on every point

LOL we have a running joke in this house, that whenever you're starting a story about some **** on the road, it always starts with one of the following:

So there was this prick in an audi infront of me

OR

So there was this prick in an audi behind me

No matter what you do, they're always there. I went to the shop earlier and there was one of these new sports Audis in front of me, doing 40mph in the 50, then 20 in the 30, was like WTF! Yesterday, there was one behind me, trying to do more than 30, as soon as I hit the national speed limit, he was barely even still in my rear view mirror, so why was he so desperate to get past!?!?

It's simply really... When you buy an audi you also buy the road in front of you and behind, you also have priority on roundabouts, no matter which lane you are coming in on. The indicators do not need to work as other road users should be stopping to let you past anyway. Speed limits do not apply to audi owners and you can park where you want.

My wife drives one :whistling:

Erm, sorry but the only thing I can do here is just replicate my reaction in real life, here on the forum

Well to be fair to Audi Drivers, I did have a BMW German Shepherd for a while on the A1 the other day, so I let him past and noticed he was a German (Reg Plate), caught up with him when a truck pulled out in front of him, when the truck pulled out the way again, he had NO CHANCE against the Z, but was prepared to do about 100 on the A1, where as I wasn't. The Bimmer was a 530D, don't know if they're meant to be quick or not as I don't follow Bimmer models much these days.

I'll be perfectly honest, the cars themselves are nice enough, I've personally had an 80 and an A4? I think, plus I've had a 525iSE and a 525iS and a 325iSE, plus my parents had a 323iS and I always wanted an E36 M3 Cabby with Cream Leather, but in the spirit of generalisation and blanket tarring!

ALL BMW AND AUDI DRIVERS ARE ************** I put the stars in myself, so it's kinda like blankety blank, just fill them up with your own swear words.

As Above? LOL!

My daily is a BMW....but hate Audi's they're nasty

My 330d has got more torque than my Z !

Then your Z is slow clearly! lol I was up behind him at 50 - 55, truck moved out the way, down to third, floored it, had to keep letting off so I didn't go into the back of him, and he was definitely trying.

Diesels always have way more torque than a petrol of same size. Its all low down and in a small rev range.

The Bmw 3.0D is a Fantastic engine, but no ofcourse its no match for the Z on a proper thrash.

Edited by Yowser

Oh yeah, no way is it faster and it has about 100bhp less than the Z, but it's still a fairly quick car.

Yeah I figured it'd be quick, it looked sporty, was just surprised how slow it was :S

I did wonder if it was Diesel, but a few years ago BMW started doing funny things with their model names/numbers and I stopped paying attention, lol.

Well the D at the end of the 530D makes it into a diesel... ;)

lol I was a little confused as to why you were suprised your car was quicker than a diesel, now I see why.

But I know what you mean - they did start complicating their naming converntion.... 318's with 2.0 engines , 323's with 2.5 litres.....

LOL - I know what you mean about some Audi drivers. But it is the minority that give the rest a bad name; and that minority are the sales reps in their company A3s and A4s. Usually the 2.0TDi S-line versions.....

.......Or if they haven't made it up the career scale, then the lowly 1.9...:tt2:

From personal experience, I have to say that the worst drivers on the road are not confined to a particular make; rather a style of car. And they are the MPV drivers. Mr hen-pecked father (or Mrs selfish mother) in a bloody Zafira/Scenic/Xsara/Galaxy etc etc.

These idiots will cruise at 69mph in lane 2 even when lane 1 is empty; they will be pre-occupied with their rancid brood in the back, instead of concentrating on their driving. They think nothing about talking on their phone (mostly the mothers) whilst driving and will just move into your lane to overtake another MPV that is doing 67mph; regardless of how fast you may be approaching, even when you're just 1 metre behind. Just because they have no thought for anyone outside their own vehicle - and then they will stay in your lane when another MPV is 1/2 a mile ahead, until they pass that also. And they still won't accelerate beyond 69mph whilst doing so......

But worst of all, even when you have parked on the end of a bay at the very rear of the supermarket car park/M-way service area etc, they will be next to you when you get back to your car. And not just next to you - close enough that you just know one of their brats has flung the bloody door open onto your car without a care for your property.

These fookers are the ones I hate - I can forgive any tail-gating sales rep in his Audi; for I can either drop the accelerator and lose him, or just safely let him pass. But Mr and Mrs MPV are just selfish, thoughtless scum - as I cannot forgive them for parking dings left in my doors.....:cursing:

Richard:tt2:

PS this does not include any MPV driving members - as I'm sure you all respect other peoples' cars like you would your own.......:winkiss:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Nope. The worst are the blokes in the more powerful people carriers. Still desperately trying to show they've still got some testosterone left despite having to drive their sprogs around in a telly tubby wagon

dont forget when said mpv is driven by mother who had a bottle of vino last night is still over the limit and its driving whilst sorting out lunch boxes before exacuavtion of said sprogs at the school gates usually doubled parked.

Erm, I REALLY hate to say this, but I am one of the MPV drivers, despite the fact we don't have one atm, I'm the guy you're describing, but I'm going to explain why!

Speaking purely from the point of view of a Toyota Estima Emina 2.7 TDI (This is the Jap version, not the English Previa version), you can't do much more than 69mph before it starts to overheat, so that's pretty much flat out with room for engine cooling to still actually function.

The reason for staying in Lane 2 when Lane 1 is empty is very simple, tram-lining, the MPV is just wide enough to sit in the big dents made in Lane 1 by the Articulated Lorries and Coaches, it isn't however, wide enough to sit in them cleanly, and so, combine this with the incredibly loose steering that you get on an MPV, and what you end up with is an MPV that will NOT drive in a straight line, instead you're swerving all over the place looking like you're drunk, and when you have your "rancid brood" in the back (lol) that can be quite concerning.

The reason for pulling out to overtake someone doing 67mph, is because he's being a bloody muppet, and as much as I'd like to just stay in my lane, with my big, heavy, awkward, miniature bus/truck, I can't, because if I slow down to stay behind him until you're safely past, it'll take me 20 minutes to catch him up again and try to overtake him, by which point, there will be another person wanting to do 70mph (COUGH) and I'll have to let him past as well, this is not fun and is the same reason truck drivers and coach drivers pull out on you, as annoying as it is, watch the top gear episode where they drive trucks, they explain how much of a nightmare it is when you can't just "flow" your driving.

As for parking next to you, it's BECAUSE you've parked somewhere with tonnes of space, that you end up with the MPV next to you, I can't park anywhere else, because the rest of the car park is occupied by stupid Audi drivers, who have parked so close to the white lines, or more likely across them, that the MPV is too large to "swing in" to the space. I am considerate of others cars and I don't want to scratch up the Audis (As much as I really would love to blow each and every one of them up), but my MPV has a sliding side door, so I park next to a well kempt car instead, like a Z, which has kindly left me lots of room to get in, by parking miles away from everyone else, which means I can pull in safely, my kids can get out without me parked on the hard shoulder and his car doesn't get scratched by my sliding door :D

I do not however, talk on my phone, unless it's on hands free and in a holder.

Sorry Richard, but the Audi driver is worse, his only excuse, is that he's a cock!
