Right, I knew zelda years ago after she was put together by pete (PPS) and as those older ones here know his work was second to none. I saw zelda and thought wow, the car is so nice and IMO everything looked spot on. I didn't even mind the big spoiler, the back lights at the time were 3 rings type of thing if that makes sence.

 

Anyway, to cut a long story short I've just been Reading the for sale advert, she's still a lovely motor but I don't think it's as nice as it was before (I have pitures somewhere). The 99 spec rear lights are nice but I gotta say I liked the old ones (only on her) better. I also thinkthe newer wheels look too big and leaves the stance a but off for me.

 

I'd like to be clear here, I'm in no way pitting the seller down when I say this but I done get why he is stating...

Well here we have the result of my personal project which has taken almost 2 years to complete.

I don't get what he did apart from change the lights and wheels which could have even been done before he bought it.

 

Am I completely missing something here???

 

I like the fact he's putting it up for sale at a high price mind but I have to think it'll never sell for that price especially when jays comes up on the same page and looks oh so pretty... I would buy jays for the other half if I had the money for sure providing nowt was wrong with it etc.

 

I'm not that opiniated normally but felt the need on this occasion.

Apart from a change of lights, wheels and debaged nose I can't see it's any different. Not doubting the quality of the build but it's not my bag baby...

That's the point though, with the old lights, wheels and with the Red Nose Day tribute, it looked pretty awesome, maybe not worth £15K but I dunno. Now it just looks plainer somehow and tbh the guy reckons the car is the result of a two year project? WTF, does he have a REALLY hard time making decisions or something and just choosing the alloys took 16 months?

Yes it did look better before. And strangly those lights do look better on it than the 99 spec ones (can't believe I'm saying this!).

 

There's quite a few people on here that can't decide on what alloys to have :lol:

Bit of history on Zelda for those not familiar :

 

It was owned for many years by a well known member, Sgt_C, who had all the work done you see in the original pics. It was known as Zelda.

 

Sgt_C sold it in 2006 for about £8k to another forum member.

 

It came back up for sale in Feb 2008 and Lee (car dealer - ex forum trader) then purchased it for about £7k , and it put it back up for sale in May 2008 with 99spec rear lights fitted.

 

It sold in July 2008 for an unknown amount.

 

Then Lee then had it back up for sale in summer 2009 , for £11k, having purchased it back of the buyer.

 

Its been listed for sale on and off ever since by Lee. He has had it resprayed and changed the Wheels and some other minor changes and its now at £15k

I don't understand why the original owner would sell it (Personal reasons aside of course), I think it was gorgeous in those older pics. Not a fan of round rear lights on Z's tbh, but on that one it looked mint. Also, Love the wheels and how subtle the strosek full kit is with the contrast of the lairy red interior.

 

So why did he get banned? I'm curious.

For anyone trying to find out what it actually looks like with the new wheels on (and i can't get on ebay/pistonheads at work) it looks like this and i agree, wheels are far too large for the car :(

Lee got banned because he basicaly was a bit of a trouble maker and was very anti mods [if i remember correctly]
