Thinking of trying it in black on my motor. IF (and a big one at that) i do go down that route, it will be black with black roof bars, followed on with my black 99spec rear spoiler.

But will keep my blue bonnet just incase i hate it lol

Just want to know if anyone or you know of anyone on here with the bonnet already fitted so i can have a look, preferably already painted, as cant quite get a feel for it with the zcenter pictures.

biggest problem is, all pictures ive seen of it on the cars, it doesnt show up too well to gauge if it actually looks good or not lol

aah sweet, thanks for that stellaz,

Someone posted a picture of this bonnet, thought they might have done one for the 300zx, this one is on a 350z in the same style as i wouldnt mind achiving. so here is the bonnet first.

Apart from that last one which is awsome, seeing the zed centre one on a black car doesn't look that hot I might just get my cf one sprayed black instead?

If your on about that side vented bonnet on the 350z, i agree, id love one like that, but not sure what to search for or if it would even be possible on a 300zx due to rain issues and the vents, unless they channel any water that gets into the vents down to the front of the bonnet and away from electrics.

Very true fella think your right don't think we can get away with that on a 300 unless we do a lot of relocation in the engine bay

would just need some channels inside the bonnet to channel the rain water down and to the front of the engine so it drips out between the fan and the radiator or somewhere like that.

the one on Mac1's car (first one i linked too) apparently has the vents sitting so water can drain with out fear of getting on the engine bay electrics. not too much of a problem if your driving the car, as the water would be pushed towards the windscreen, but would be a nightmare if it gets cought short out in a car park or car show, where standing water can run down into the vents.

imo the bonnet should stay smooth. it looks perfect for the car. anything stuck on or raised is a no no :(

the reason why im not to sure on the first one, but love the style of the one on the 350z and its smoother with nothing "sticking up"

the Border one would be nice if it was just the rear vents.

Buy a mr2 border vent of me

I think yours looks mean mate, i am not a fan of c/f though. sprayed black would look cool.

i have a red standard bonnet which has been professionaly louvered both sides in about the same place as the top most vents in the border bonnet .....just didnt get round to fitting it to mine ....bought it some years ago its still in the garage and still wrapped to send if any one wants to make me an offer ?

Get some pics up and maybe one of us will take it !!

I like the bonnet in the first link and the last link. But have always wandered where the water would run so normally puts me off.

thanks for the link mate, but thats just a carbon fiber OEM bonnet, im after this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/300zx-300-zx-90-96-Nissan-AMS-VIS-Carbon-Fiber-Hood-/250661816688?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a5c9bc970 with the vents in it, but not sticky up vents.

I did how ever email one of the traders on ebay who does the style i want, shipping is a whooping $800, ontop of $700 for the bonnet, at current exchange rates, thats £800 for a bonnet.

I am really tempted for next year now. not many people with that style of vented bonnet and i like how its indented rather than sticky uppy lol
