Odometer

Hi all,

I have a problem with my mileometer which stopped working. I have had the milometer taken out and cleaned but it still does not work. I cannot seem to find anyone that has one new or old - HELP!!

Does anyone know where I can get one???

Thanks very much

Is it for a jap or UK clock? Does your speedo work ok, the odometer takes its feed from the back of the speedo dial and occassionally if there is a dry joint the signal may not get to the odometer, take a look here http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_images/Odometer%20Repair.pdf

I have a couple of spare Jap ones if you feel you definitely need one.

Cheers

Hi Graham, it's a jap import. Speedo is perfect, just mileage stopped. Ive been to Zedworld in Birmingham who took it apart to see it was dusty etc. but could find nothing. Def need one...

Welcome,

Put thread up in the wanted section, there are usually several lieing about from breakers. £30-£50.

or if you wanted a UK version (in mph and psi) they go for about £100.

You will ideally need to get one from the same series model as yours, for a straight swap fitment.

Series 1 is 89-92

Series 2/3 is 92-94

Series 4 is 94 onwards

and wether you need TT or NA.

edit : oppss, did'nt see Groover has some available. ^^^^^

Well would you adam and eve it, mine did this today. Reset the trip coming out of my drive, and 8 miles or so later when i got to my house it was still at 0! Speedo still works fine but nothing moving on the trip.

Whats the first thing to try chaps? Take the cluster out and check for obvious dirt/poor solder joints?

The trip can get stuck if the button was not pressed fully down. Try giving it a few more hard presses and seeing if thats it first.

What i'll do is open my eyes... and use the guide that groover put up. Nice little job for tomorrow afternoon!
