ABS Removal??

Quick question, has anyone removed the ABS on there zed?? if so has it caused any problems?

Also can anyone confirm that the rear brake pipes enter into the rear floor section for the abs pump only?? or is there another reason they are tucked up behind rear subframe??

cheers in advance

Don't know about removing it but yes, the pipes going into the subframe are only for the ABS pump in the boot.

After a bit of thought removing it shouldn't cause any problems, N/A's don't have ABS. You will need to change your BMC though.

Removing the abs would most likely invalidate your insurance as its a standard fit safety item and was taken into account when they group rated the car.

Seconded.....

.....and this question has come up on the forum before and, whilst I may take the extreme view, I would never remove the ABS system.

IMO (and in the opinion of the automotive industry) ABS is one of the most important safety features in a car. So much so that back in 1990 it was only fitted to luxury or high performance cars; but now almost every car has it. Why do you think that is....?

I don't care how good a driver you are (or think you are), but even the best "cadence braker" will not do the job better than a computerized ABS system. Leave it alone!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Just wan't to say; I'd never remove mine either, besides I'd only have to buy sensors again so that my Racelogic TC worked

Some don't mate, but now you've said yours does, Im not sure which ones don't now?

Yeah but that page says that S2's had the cruise on a stalk and they don't, so what else does it have wrong?

Yowser can no doubt tell us. lol

It was on the stalk with the srs air bag wheel option only as you cant have the cc buttons in the wheel due to the airbag.
