I swopped the bumpers again.

Ive gone from 99 front - Veilside rear, to 89(red) front, uk rear, back to 89(proper colour) front, Veilside rear.

 

First....

 

 

Then...

 

To....

 

What looks the best?

 

I'd like a Jap rear, then paint it all either, the same colour, or White.

Since you asked.....in all honestly - no, big downgrade imo.

 

99 front is infintly better looking than the 89, and makes the car look easily 10yrs younger, fresher and more expensive looking.

 

And while Im not a fan of Veilside kits usually, that particular rear bumper suits the car well, and is based on a Jap rear. The UK rear is not as nice as the Jap or the veilside.

I know 99 fronts are prefered, but im just not a fan of them.

I'd like a scarab front if i had some money!

Never ever was a fan of the 99 front. Always looked a wee tadge too Chavy for me ? Start of the spoiler brigade in my opinion ?

Not keen on the UK rear end. Much prefer the bumper without the holes and the fog lights incorporated in the light cluster.

if it looks 10 years newer....then yes, its perceived to be worth more. Nothing unusual there.

When i think back to when 300zx's were newer, and i saw one on the road, i thought WOW!

 

In my head, and more than likely in real life, the ones i saw, had 89 bumpers. Thats the car i wanted then, and so its what i think a 300zx should look like.

 

Jap rear will go on, but the 89 front is staying.

 

I like the scarab, but again, its not the 300zx in my head.

I reckon you're doing right mate, I do personally like the 99 spec and intend to put one on mine, or something aftermarket and similar, it's not TOO flashy and still looks relatively standard, but then I also do quite like how it looks standard, lowered it's pretty much spot on.

 

If you prefer the 89 spec, I'm certainly not gunna knock you for it, spot on in my book.
