think you hit the nail on the head there richard. most autos are on the way out or at least not working to their best. i know mine certainly feels like it is struggling to keep up with the engine. im quite excited about going manual when i drive in 2 or even with over drive off over about 70 80 it feels great. but it just doesnt feel quick or like its transfering the power correctly in general

Well I think Roses auto box (Now defunct and is a manual, thanks to Mikey, but still) was supposed to have been re-conditioned in 2002? Sandy fancy clarifying that for me? and it just didn't feel as good. Rose says she took it out today as a manual and it was ultimately a completely different car. I should imagine that when I get back up there tomorrow and take it out for a spin as a manual, I will have much the same opinion as I did at the start of the thread, the manual is just truck loads better, even with relatively new/re-conditioned boxes.

yeagh im sure theres an invoice there to back that up from the previous owner i for one enjoyed driving an auto but i do feel theres something lacking compared to a manual.

Yeah as I mentioned in a previous post, I've enjoyed driving autos too, but after driving my manual Z around, driving the auto one just felt like there was something missing as you say.
