I've decided that it is going to be at least 6 months till i get my zed back on the road, and i was wondering what you guys suggest to do before it goes off the road.

For example, i remember reading that someone suggested filling your tank up with petrol so that evaporation doesnt occur leaving condensed water all around the tank. Ive also disconnected the battery to save that going dead.

What else would you guys recommend??

6 months isn't that long.

If you just parked it up im sure it'd be fine.

Make sure your tyres are inflated to save flat spotting.

Does it start? Run it once a month if you can.

Leave your handbrake off so it doesn't stick.

Cant think of anything, but im sure it'll be fine.

Is it outside or in a garage?

I personally take the battery out and place it on some wood on the floor ready for charging. I have stood my last car for 6 months a few times before and was no major concern and turned over straight away with a fully charged battery.

As above Leave the Handbrake OFF, it will seize up your back brakes.

definatley fill the tank up, in 6 months time the fuel will be the only thing that has gone up in value on the car

It's stored outside, however i am looking at getting a 3mx6m marquee to store the zed in.

Having just been out for a mates birthday in London, the return of the zed just got pushed back a few more months.

What would you do if the car is going to be stored around a year??

put it on 4 axle stands so the tyres don't get flat spots, and the other stuff said above, maybe somehow wrap up you brakes/discs to prevent rusting?
