Am i being over the top here guys,my ten year old daughter and six year old son were amazed today to see the contents of their lunchbox photographed and displayed to the class. It turns out its healthy eating week and without parental consent the "healthy eating" lady has gone into my kids lunchboxes and opened the sandwiches to reveal the contents so she could take photographs. They were used as good examples but its not the point imho.myself or my missus never said the school could do that.what gives them the rights. It really pisses me off the cheeky coonts, how dare they!! My kids constantly come home telling me lunchboxes are monitored for dangerous substances like chocalate or cake, these are seen as unhealthy ffs and kids are told not to eat them, not that eating them in moderation is fine.feckin nanny state in Bristol :cursing:

i understand where jimmers coming from on this one and i would'nt be 100% happy myself but lets say next to our kids who eat right theres a kid been packed off to school by its scrotty smackhead mother with 5 packets of wotsits or even worse no tucker at all....ide like to think someone's looking out for the child and making sure he or she eats decent during the day:sad:

All Line up for sandwich inspection.....

Don't get me started on this! Tash gets what she's given in her lunchbox! Its a mixture of complex carbs, dairy, fruit and a teeny bit of a treat. School can feck off it they don't like it - everything moderation

And, whilst we're ranting about schools, she's 4 and gets real, actual homework 3 times a week as well as 2 new books to read. FFS! She's FOUR!!!

I didn't get any homework til I started secondary school and it never stopped me from getting 8 GCSEs 3 A levels and a degree from the university of Bristol! FFS!

:lol: so going on the posts above iff our schools fed our kids chips and frozen chicken nuggets and did'nt give a fook everyone would be happy as long as the school had no imput on what goes down the kids necks for growth and development...i think not:huh:.I see this as not gastapo looking into our kids tucker bags for the fun of it but just making sure there getting fed right thats all as for every 20 good parents theres 1 who just dont give a shite and getting the kid to eat its 5 a day is the last thing on there mind..

a good feed,a good clip around the earhole and early to bed is the catalyst for a good kid:lol:,but there again ime 50,a father of 3 daughter 2 of which have good carears(spell) and another in school getting her nosebag checked daily:lol: and me i was dragged up getting fed on milk i robbed off steps and pies off the back of vans:clap::clap:

not being a parent but having m8s that have kids was told today that sports day for his son was a race to see how fast the can hang out 5 pieces of washing..a walking race and a throwing comp..all because if the kids hurt themselfs the schools responsible...wtf has happend to GB its become a effing joke...sorry abit of a rant theyr but m8 the rules for school have changed since we've grown up the kids are wrapped in cotton wool and if one does something wrong ther made an example of..just be glad your feeding your kids good stuff...

im f00king moving to bring up my future kids

My kids diner hour has been cut to 45 mins because they are too hyper when they get back to class, which means 350 kids queue for food at 12pm and the last one served has around 3 mins to eat then no play time just back to class. We used to send packed lunch but then we had a memo that all packed lunches were to back checked so that no child had better than the next and that no sugary, or fatty foods were allowed.

We are now at a new school which she loves that are a lot more sensible.

Really!!!! you have nothing better to moan about.

They did not embarrass them or bully them in any way.

Yeah schools do need to have an input they care for the children

for the better part of the day. If they fell and hurt themselves I am sure

we would have the same cry of "they just dont fookin care"

As for it being a nanny state just because they are trying to educate the kids in to what is healthy to eat (and education IS what we are paying them for)

I suggest the Nanny state begins at home where parents refuse to let there children experience any of te real issues in life so grow up to be Naive targets for society to pray on.

Oh and they should think themselves lucky that is was the teacher that opened up there luch box, in my day it would have been school bully Slinger O Keefe and he would have taken my curly wurly spat in my sandwiches and given me a dead leg that would have lasted three days for the pleasure, IF I WAS LUCKY. :tt2:

So what becomes of the kid whos lunch turns out to shit then ? when its displayed in front of the class. They will be alienated by kids mocking them. Its intrusive and high handed, nobody likes there food being messed with, how would you feel if your grub was rifled through at work as the company were conducting a study to see whos lightly to have more time off due to poor eating habits ? im sure you,d wouldnt mind at all ?

This is a fair comment^^^^

also what about the kid (notice I didn't say fat!) that's had his lunch 'picked through' by the teacher and had the whole 'look children, Stuart's lunch is full of fatty sausage rolls, cakes and pastries and is absolutely disgusting, this isn't healthy and should be thrown in the bin etc'

Not going to do his self esteem any good is it?

*Note: The name Stuart is not intended to be associated with any known forrmer obese child who spent most of his time in Gregg's, and furthermore any similarity to a former fa...uh...child with a less than healthy diet, is purely coincidental*
