Anyone had issues with Evo Brembo calipers and 295mm discs?

I`m just wandering if anyones had Evo Brembos fitted usung 295mm discs?

the reason I ask is that I have had my Brembos and 324mm discs fitted today and whilst talking to my mechanic he reckons the 295mm discs would be too small?? So off i went back to my house and got a 295mm disc and gave it to the mechanic, we found the edges of the pads would only be touching about 3/4 of the disc? and the rest of the pad was in thin air? Obviously we have used the relocation brackets, so I`m just wandering what set up is needed for the 295mm discs

He's correct, whilst EVO's run a 295mm disc it is not on the brakes equipped with Brembo's, they are 320mm.

There are certain non Brembo brake kits that also use the 320mm disc but the 295 size was for general use on Non Brembo brake kits, so a difefrent caliper altogether.
