I know this is the furthest thing from yer mind driving a 300HP supercoupe but just wondered what kinda mpg you guys get from your zeds

Anything from high teens to low 20's (17-23) is a typical average.

They can be stretched to just over 30 mpg on long motorway runs, but will drop to single digits when being abused.

I used to get just over 30mpg on the motorway (70+) :tt2:

And low teens when spanking it down the lanes..

Mixed cycle, probably about 23-25mpg average (i.e - not spanking it everywhere!) :scared:

Will depend on the mods and how well its been looked after.. and how you drive it.. so just a few variables there then!!

When travelling to work in a hurry with lots of stopping and starting, roundabouts etc around 10-15 :crying:!

Get around 25 when travelling on nice long motorway trips!

I was getting 4 recently thats why its now off the road with the engine out. lol

Be-Jesus,

4mpg? I've driven 35ton dumpers with better fuel economy than that!!

my red zed that Big_Jim now owns, used to get 14 to 16 mpg around town with stopping and starting, and around 25 to 28 on a motor way journy.

if you nailed it everywhere, it would give just 8 to 9mpg.

so it really does depend on how you drive it.

That was granny driving, to be honest the car had been neglected and the engine out was always on the cards, but it ran and I needed to get places. I was too lazy to sort it but now I can't afford not to lol

yeah mines seems to be averaging around 19mpg around the town so not to bad...not had it on a longer trip yet but id imagine 25/28mpg should be achievable

not had the Z long so not sure on figures, but im very impressed with fuel economy on the big beast as its far better than any Evo/impreza ive owned in the past....wasnt expecting that

300 miles on £90 driving sensibly on motorway/ a roads (appart from that long straight as u come outta ross, thought i was gonna take off!)

200 miles up and back from japfest very quickly on £50 happy with that 24.8 to the gallon

I noticed when I did my scotland dash, at 7am xmas day morning, that the fuel economy doesn't really alter much above 70. Unless you constantly accelerate and decelerate. At a steady ?? to ?? mph it still returned around 30mpg. Santa and his slay wouldn't have been able to keep up!!

The thing is, maximum power (lets say 6000rpm) is also maximum engine efficiency - if it wasn't for pesky aerodynamics in the equation, it would actually give you the best economy driving flat out in fifth!
