hey there, i was wondering what people thought to putting there rough location (maybe the first part of their postcode) as a tag on a map on here? i mean i have no qualms with you guys knowing where i am and your allways welcome to pop in to say hello if your in the area :-) if anyone else would be ok with members knowing their location, pm me your location and ill start to stick them on a map :-)

Not a good idea to put where you are on an internet forum mate, anybody could see where your car is located.

thing is, most of us have our locations on here anyways, just thought it might be interesting to visualise, but your probly right about it being a bad idea

If people are worried could we not put it in the members only bit

this is what i was thnking, subscribed members only......, i think what ill do is just draw a map up, only using the first part of the post code, but ill just email the picture to whoever wanted to be included.

I think we have had the discussion before and came to that very conclusion......

I know that we post our locations in our profiles anyway, but let's not make it even easier for thieves!

If you PM me I'll tell you where everyone lives :tt2:

some years ago there was thrread on the forum with a link to a map of the uk with members locations on. just down to the town, so you could see i lived in guildford, but not the actual adress. not seen it for ages

a quick search shows it was 2005,( i've been here to long) and is not there anymore

I don't see problem, could just do towns rather than postcodes so it would be possible to see the distribution of Zeds in different parts of the country.

this is what i was getting at, the first part of your post code only shows your town, BUT i can deffinately respect people not wanting their location made public,

but if you want me to put you down, just pm me where you want to be listed as, and ill send you the map so far with the folk who have agreed :)

Add me - Leo from Lei-lei-leicestershire-ing-ton (that should keep the little illiterate thieving toe rags guessing!!) :2guns:

may as well add me, good luck to anyone trying to nick my car. 2 gears one of them reverse, cant see them getting very far, and they sure as hell aint going to like the fuel costs
