Anyone know where i can buy the trim between the window and the door for less than £68 per side, as mine are starting to show the metal strip and looks a bit dated.

A few people have told me that rubbing peanut butter into them rejuvenates them. You may well think that this is a piss take, but I've heard it from a couple of people who are really into detailling their cars. If on the other hand, they are starting to lift and tear, then replacements are probably the best option.

 

68 quid does seem a little steep...

Yeah, i was going to try that but when i come to do it the rubber was falling of the trim and showing the metal. and been trying to hunt some down avoiding nissan, but i could only find these and £68 for one is a bit too much.

think mjp charges less as i looked into this a while back, ended up gettinga set of godens off another member

Yep I plan to do that for mine too, deffo the most cost effective way to rejuvinate the door trims :) .... all I have to do is take a brave pill to see if i dare take the slickie's roof trim off to do the same there !

Yep it works a treat for black plastics and rubber, just be sure its the smooth type though !!!

ive used the plastidip, it does work just make sure its squeaky clean before applying

Nope, peanut butter my friend. I would assume peanut oil would work too - but the references were definitely made to peanut butter. I was amazed too.

Yep, its the oil thats the working ingredient, but smooth butter works well without making a mess when applied in small amounts and rubbed in ;)

tried the peanut butter, and other than looking a fool to my neighbours it does make a considerable difference! they look a lot healthier now, but i still think i need the plastidip for the damaged ones.

Thats 68 plus vat and delivery - about 90 each.

 

if you still want new - then MJP.

 

Always MJP for OEM parts. Never use zcentre for oem.

 

i dont know MJP's current price, but in general some parts are slightly cheaper, but lots of parts are a LOT cheaper.
