Hi, bit of a newbie to the whole 300zx scene so that i would ask the question before i jump in. I have seen a Red 1992 300zx Twin Turbo Manual with 49k on it. I presume it to be a LWB ( it has rear seats ) ?? It also has the 2 glass roof panels ( removable?? ). Now the car is in very good condition, Unsure if it has history present. It also has what appear to be 18'' split rims and new stainless steel exhaust.

 

I will obviously find out more about the car but just as a rough guide what would you guys reckon this is worth??

If it a jap car, ignore the mileage.

Many were clocked by importers.

 

It could still be clocked as a uk car, but less likely.

 

Find out the service history etc, before you put a value on it..

If it has rear seats, it is a LWB.

How would i know if its a jap import? Also the car is known to a local garage ( he is a very good customer of my work and i have known him for a good number of years). He has replaced inner and outer sills, shocks and springs all round, discs and pads all round in the last few months.

 

He has also vouched for the fact the vehicle has been of the road for most of its life.

if he has replaced the sills i would guess its a uk spec lol

Few things to tell the uk and jap apart.

 

Uk zeds have headlight washers in the bumper.

Rear bumper has fog lights in it and oblong number plate.

Seat belts are on the doors on earlier jap zeds

Clocks in kph or mph?

Ok, the car has headlight washer in the bumpers and the clocks are in mph.

Uk car then mate.

but sounds like a uk one check for the rust underneath, if the sill have already been done there is a good chance of there being other rust

welcome mate where abouts in scotland are you from? maybe one of the members close to you could help you when viewing the car?

im in west lothian mate, had a look at it yesterday and will be going for another look. Think i will be buying considering i wont be paying anywhere near the 1 in the link above.

Always good to expand the scottish side of the club, as were getting few and far

between, infact the scottish zed count is likely higher than the owners as most of

us own two or more.

 

Theres a few members in your area that can likely help you out with a meet to see

the zed but if you can post some pics up then we'll all do our best to show you in

the right direction.
