hello all.

Long time since I've been on a forum but thought it only right to say hello and introduce myself :)

Previously had a 350z and after buying a diesel for the work commute decided to try a 300zx. I pick it up at the end of the month!! :)

I thought I'd register as the car I have purchased has you guys stickers in the windows......hoping to maybe find some forum history about it or even the previous owner!!

So, I don't have any pictures of it yet but it is a

black n/a 300zx

Bought from a garage in lytham, apparently the previous owner is from lytham too......?

Either way I'm here now and intend to make a detailed post of my intentions with the car, once it arrives :))

So hi,

Thanks for reading.

Wayne.

Me too! Ha ha, I'm hoping the fact that it's n/a like my 350 that it won't go 'pop' within the first week ha ha ha.

Ideal place to ask I suppose, what cat back exhaust should I be looking for for a tasteful non standard sound?

I've been in contact with stillen USA as I like the look of their front splurged, but any advice on aero parts would also be appreciated :)

I intend to keep it close to standard appearance with a nice exhaust and filter, and a good suspension set up with some dishy rims, but that's about it really.

Wayne.

Hiya Wayne, welcome to the club mate, I'm not far from you in Southport, we have a few members in blackpool, good luck with your new car.

Daz

Also, cheeky as this is but daz you don't have a picture of your car side on do you....? :)

Lol, Not cheeky at all mate, I love showing my car off ;) click on the red car (my rides) just below my face picture, it should have old pics of my cars, I can't post any up at the moment as I'm on my mobile

welcome along Wayne  I want a 350Z, but by the time I can afford one I think I'll be wanting something else! :(

Welcome to the forum, look forward to pics when you pick her up, also the stickers you mention will be from when a prev owner subbed to the forum, they are part of the membership pack

SandyZ, i had a look over the forum, found some rather unpleasant new, according to a thread started by ronco, this car has been CLOCKED :O

Im just working out what to do about this as i've obviously put a deposit down on what i thought was a legitimate nice mileage z at £2495

What was the mmileage on the car when you sold it to the guy in Lytham please? the car looks in good condition, im just concerned about the purchase price and obviously the resale value as i wouldn't lie about the mileage discrepency, meaning it'll basically be worth sweet FA......

It would just help me with discussions if i have more info on the previous mileages of the vehicle.....

Thanks

Wayne.

I could be wrong but my personal view is that mileage is not such an important issue once you get to this age and value of car.

Whether a Z has done 56,000 miles (for a 16-20 year old car?) or 100,000 miles should not really matter.

The condition and quality of the car is more important, and of course how it drives.

Just my 2 pennies worth.

Welcome Wayne, hope you can sort something out with the garage that are selling it. Good luck buddy.
