its easy, same as a auto, cept no gear box dip stick or oil cooler pipes

As above, did it last week, manual is a lot easier and you don't get covered in auto juice. lol

those pipes to the front rad did my head in

Im about to put a manual box back in its on ramp on drive can i do it without tilting engine back ,Is it best to put box on trolley jack and lift up into position thanks.

I doubt it - state of your engine mounts dictates how far the engine will shift, but I did mine over a pit and the engine barely moved - but it was enough to stop the box going on.

You can get enough tilt to put the box on if you remove the front intercooler pipes, get someone else to push the engine to get enough lean and wedge something in to stop it moving back. (ally car jack) once the box Is on, do the top 4 bolts up (dont forget that plate, and earth cable) then remove what is keeping the lean, then jack the gear box and do up the gear stick cupelling and the 6 bolts at the rear of the gear box (don't forget to connect the electrics) then just put the rest of the bolts in the gear box, re-attatch the prop shaft, heat shield and exhaust, intercooler pipes and you should be done

You can undo the engine mount bolts to get more of a lean and don't crush the engine loom between the bulk head and plenum

Ok thanks where does that small plate go[ half circle] one that fell down when i took the box off ive got the big plate on behind the flywheel but not sure about the small plate.

Got box back in sunday went in first time with just a little tilt back on engine block of wood on front pulley and jacked engine up .Undoing all 4 intercooler pipe clips is a must ,4 hours to get box back in prop on a complete exhaust system and refill box with oil.managed to get to all bell housing bolts with 14 mm spanner.manged to drill dump pipe bolts i snapped 10 mins each with a high torque 18 volt cordless drill on low speed with decent drill bits.
