ok guys heres what i got done to help my autobox and missfire

emptied the auto box oil via the drain plug my mechanic was expecting a lot of oil, same as me but only 1.75 ltrs came out so surely the box was low causing my crap gearchanges, so refilled with approx 3.5 lts and hey presto car is changing gears a whole lot better, and the missfire has gone! was the car running in 'limp' mode? and is 3.5 ltr enough tranny oil as dipstick sems to read fine , but also read fine when only 1.75 ltr came out

thanks in advance

The fluid is in the torque converter and cannot be drained out via sump plug. Its recommended that another change is done in a few hundred miles as then the old fluid that was in the torque converter would then be mixed in the system.
