Hey all this is more out of intrigue then anything else at the min but just wondered who has done what in this regard? i remember there was a chap on here who was going to put a vg30de in a old ford Anglia :w00t: now that’s what i call a sleeper

 

has anyone else done any interesting engine swaps?

I've had a mini with a Rover v8 in,sat in the rear seats to drive it! Also a Rover in a Manta (shock!):chinese:Oh and the V6 Cossy Transit I built!

Always like putting a zed TT into a MK2 escort, but keeping it looking either an rs / mexico

lol a true sleeper that and again not a mix you would expect really

fitted a 3 litre capri motor into a MK1 bullnose ford transit pick-up...awesome from the lights but with the bed empty could'nt drive it in the wet:thumbdown:

sounds crazy bri but and as you say tail happy i bet!! i think the capri is an ideal ford doner car too as you can get away with allot in that engine bay

 

also does anyone know of any bigger engines that are mainly used in some of the more common ford conversions?

yep lol that sounds very entertaining this is what im looking at really, bigger engines in smaller cars :)

I had an 1977 Opel Manta and fitted a Fiat 132 Mirorfiori 2.0 twin cam engine and five speed box in ! Cheap power :thumbup1:

i do like mantas never owned or driven one but there used to be a couple near me fading away now though, more is the pitty :/
