Just thought i'd share my little bit of news with y'all, after going to work with the hubby (he's a truck driver) i decided if you cant beat them join them, so im now a mini trucker, i've been given a mercedes 3.5 ton curtain sider and my first job today was a run to Dorset!!

 

Really enjoyed being out on the road but i learnt one thing today and i am never going to moan at the hubby for being tired when he gets in from work I AM SHATTERED!!!!

 

So if your wives ever moan at you for being tired after a long day at work show them this thread!!!!!!

Nice one. I used to drive for a living (only 7.5tonne) and loved it. Like you say it's proper tiring though.

iv never driven a truck

but after work exp with my bro(hes a hgv driver)

after him diving from 6-6 he was sleeping the min he got into bed

not enough credit to truck drivers

LOL - Julia never believes that I may be tired after a long day at work. But then she thinks I just sit around all day eating doughnuts and shouting at people!!

 

Not true - I haven't had a dougnut for at least a month!!

welcome to my world lol this is all i do. class 2 and 15 hours a day working mainly over night which is the most tiring since there is begger all to look at to keep your brain active.

yeah im still around rich :) married life has been keeping me busy, have to keep the hubby happy ;)

 

I honestly didnt realise how tiring it was driving all day and some of the loads i've had have seriously tested my driving skills, been all around london today what a poxy place that is!!!!!! and back there in the morning 6.30 start! oh the joys of being a mini trucker lol

yeah im still around rich :) married life has been keeping me busy, have to keep the hubby happy ;) ...............

haha i go through london every day at least twice in an 18 tonner!! touch wood i have only murdered one car on tower bridge. but i'm suprised its not more cos people in london can't drive for toffee :hammer::death:

 

Nicci watch out for the knobs in Addison Lee taxi's because not only can they not drive but their indicaters don't work either!!:tank:

oh yes!!! have experienced that already, i also made the mistake of following my sat nav which took me through picadilly, got a right rollocking off the hubby but you learn from your mistakes lol
