the "door card" as it were if it was a more door? im quite keen to future proof the zed.

If you buy bilt hamber dynax S50 in an aerosol, it comes with long application tubes. Buy two cans and join the two tubes together and you can reach the full length of the sills and arches. It's good stuff and really easy to use.

The wax oil I bought came with a 1 meter tube which was more than long enough, also it was small enough to go though the screw holes that hold the plastic sill covers on.
