Hey Guys,

I was wondering whats the best tire and rim size to get good speed and decent amount of comfort too.

I saw a zed with these tire specs and they looked very sexy

18"

front235/40

rear265/35

What do you guys is the best option?

Aj

Yeh, thats pretty typical aftermarket wheel setup, with 18x8.5" fronts, and 18x9.5" rears.

so would the actual rims be different? I have 18" atm but does that mean these tires would fit?

Take the wheels off. It will say on the inside.

Great thanks, mine are 225 on back and front. Which makes the car look a bit boring if you know what i mean. Do the bigger tire size effect the performance in anyway? negatively?

I guess thats why my zed felt a bit wobbly around corners etc, the tires make a huge difference i suppose!

It depends on how close to the original rolling diameter you would want too.

On 18's my preference would be 255/35R 225/40F but only because thats the closest match to stock diameter.

Having a larger diameter will give you a bit more top end at the expense of acceleration.

thanks for the info bart. ok to clarify i am looking for profiles that give me the most off the line speed as in london you wont be reaching any top speeds :P. Also tires that give a good stance. So what do you guys reckon? Also the car is stock with no mods or bhp gains!

presumably you are looking to buy wheels as you are on stock, or do you already have 18's ?

If looking to buy then 8.5 front 9.5 rears are a good choice, but you also need to look at offsets etc.

If you already have the 18's, you need to find out what width the wheels are as Big Jim mentions.

Hey guys my rims are 18" and around about 9 inches deep, so would i need to get new ones? to fit lets say 235/40 F and 265/35's R

Fella seriously if you wanna get this right, take off 1 front wheel and tell us the width size stamped inside the back, do the same at the rear, tell us the width's, the boys will tell you the best tyre size to suit, job done.

Many many Zeds use staggered widths where the difference is only half an inch.
