i have the zedworld ecu chip, but need to fit in into my new ecu, i know where it goes etc. but are there any precautions i need to take as to not blow the ecu or short anything??

Your new ECU needs to be socketed mate and that ain't really easy if you don't know what yer doing.

Is your ECU at fault then, you've tried another one?

yes was the ecu, put a new one in and its fine. what do you mean socketed?

cant i simply lift the old chip out then put the new one in?

Yes if the new ECU has an aftermraket chip fitted.

The stock ECU chip is completly soldered to the board inside, you de solder it and solder in a socket, the chip then plugs inside the socket.

If you look inside your existing ECU with the Zedworld chip in it, you'll see it sits inside a black (usually) plastic frame.

Oh and nice to know my advice worked for you to find your fault!

oh i see what you mean, damm.

thanks alot smithy, your advice paid off.

If you need to change the chip, i have a grounding band and puller if you need to borrow Aaron. Just text me and pop round for it.
