i wasnt sure where to post this :confused1:

well, i posted a thread last week about a '91 zx n/a that was apprently stuffed, engine dying when lights turned on and when brakes applied, i had a few helpful people reply on my post (thanks peoples)

well the guy tells me it was just oil on the alternator and still wants my v6 veccy for his zx. (sounds too good to b true) but im still thinking of going to halifax to pick it up. can anuybody give me any pointers to look out for with the car??

also i noticed when trying to drive it, it had a slight stutter, would that be due to the lack of power from the battery? i have asked him if this problem is still present and im waiting for an email back.

the bottom of the spoiler (just below the spoiler seems to have peeled somewhat, which i noticed in another members pic too. maybe an easy fix but doesnt bother me and there is a crack accross the drivers side light.

my final thing is... insurance... i have only been driving for 3 years, got 2 year no claims (1st year as a named driver) but got a reasonable quote from sky insurance at £930, can anybody reccomend any other insurers please?

thanks for reading my post guys n gals

right... you can test the alternator witha multimeter, this will tell you if the batter y is being charged when the engine is on. google it for a fuull explaination.

yes it can cause hessitation, as the sparks weak etc i drive mine like that once felt pants. could be something more sinister though.... so beware. that alternator isnt the simplest one in teh world to get to either btw. gotta ask aswel wheres this oil come from? leaking rover cover gaskets? or leaky power steering lines?

cracked spoilers are common theyre made from foam they absorb water then freeze you can gues sthe rest. prime spot for rust aswel.

standard rear lights can be picked up fairly cheaply a few of us have spare sets myself included.

sky are probally about the best about tbh mate. esp if your under 25

lol @ slick pete

but as far as sellin my current v6, im getting half decent mileage, 20-30 mpg but its high mileage and wouldnt sell for much which is why the swap would b better for me, i know im going to have to throw cash at it, but (forgive me for sayin) aside from my dream car being a yank classic, a zed would b a dream too
