I have new wheels, therefore I have new tyres, therefore I'm not sure what pressure should be in them.

Front 255/35/18

Rear 265/35/18

Which are on a 2+2.

What say ye?

3.5 bar is about 52 psi which is much to much pressure. You don't want to be to far from normal tyre pressure, remember the car still weighs the same.

Seem to recall Factory reccomended pressures are 33 psi front, 36 psi rear, (2.3 / 2.5 bar). You can deviate with +/- a couple of psi, to your preference. No need to go any further than that for road use, no matter the tyre size.

You certainly dont want to be running 3.0 bar, Will ride and handle terrible and cause increased wear along the centre of the tyre, and no where near 3.5 bar - its quite likely to be over the max rated pressure limit for the tyres on the Z's weight.

What is normal pressure? I inflated mine until they looked right against the road, which seemed to be no less than 3.0 bar.

open the door, on the inside of the door frame should be a sticker near the door catch that the door closes on, it should state there what your tyre pressure should be. it goes by weight of the car not what size wheels tyres you have on it.

3.5bar is almost at your maximum limit. have a blow out at that kind of pressure when blowing your tyres up with out a cage and its going to be very dangerous.

people have been killed by tyre blow outs before, 30psi = the explosive force of a grenade. flying bits of car tyre being ejected at 3.5 bar and your looking at causing some serious damage to anything it hits.

with 18s im running 36psi front and 33 psi rear... found 36 in the rears was too much, the back was a little looser than id have liked.

However, getting a touch of understeer now, so might drop the fronts down to 34psi

From what I remember, the guy airing them up said he was putting 35psi in them. Though I was busy watching the other fitter like a hawk as he fitted the tyres to the remaining rims.
