I have just been pulled over after a night out with a mate!! The rozzers said that I was over the legal limit to be in charge of a vehicle, and also that I had no front or rear lights!!! When I checked, sure enough I didn't have any front or rear lights!! Can anyone tell me what has happened to my lights?

I think the over the legal LIMIT is a bit naff though, has anyone been in this situation before? I really don't think I was over the limit, I only had 5 pints, would this be enough to send me over the limit? I don't think so.

Please get back to me before my Mrs finds out, or I'm in the dog house.....:confused1:

Seriously? You are an ex paramedic and you feel it is okay to drive after 5 pints?? I am quite shocked by this, that and the fact you don't think you'd be over the limit?

Is this a wind up?

Think you might be onto something Jim. Judging by the OP's previous well informed and educated posts this does seem a little strange on reflection.

i thought it was a wind up also which is why i asked what he had 5 pints of. maybe water?? lol

Lol everyone, I was pulled up, but they let me go, as they said that a wheelchair doesn't count..........lol,

sorry guys, thought it would get a laugh, and also, to show you guys that because I am now a wheelchar user, you can still take the *iss out of me, and it won't matter. I mean that because I am a wheelchair user, don't hold back with anything, because I will not get offended by anything said, unlike some disabled people.

Richard Hammond from Top Gear is supposed to be in trouble for sexism, so I guess what I am trying to say (and not succeeding very well because I really have had a few) is, don't you guys worry about taking the *iss out of disability or me because I'm disabled, it will not offend me, and will be taken as a joke. Cheers guys.......lol....

lol. Have you had some pills for it? Joking aside mate, if it's still banging in the morning get yourself down the docs.

If that original post is real then anyone driving a car of any sort after 5 pints needs the book throwing at them.

On the other hand I wandered onto this thread because it looked by the title that someone had genuinely been let down by the police and I was going to add a story that happened to my MOT guy this month.... so in some sort of chance I will genuinely bring this back from stupidity I will add it anyway.

My MOT guy had his car stolen on the 1st of december (a mint, 2 owner 1990 jaguar sovreign with full dealer service history). When he called the police they asked if he wanted it recovered if they found it, he replied no, I work in a garage so can arrange that myself... seems simple enough eh?

After waiting 3 weeks he eventually got the call to say his car had been found but sadly it had been burnt out and they had recovered the car.

When he went to pick it up from the recovery place it turned out it was recovered on the same day it was stolen and he got charged over 400 quid..... now that is proper police incompitence.

Pulling over someone driving after 5 pints is just doing a bloody good job.

Make ya own minds up on that one.

i went to the chippy at 9.30 and whilst in the que my eyes closed and my legs went to jelly. luckily i just managed to control myself and stay standing. might go docs if still bad in mornin. thx for the concern.

and now i have completley turned his thread into my help thread i feel better for him tricking me:)

Sounds like you may have a concussion mate, if you start feeling sick call the docs don't wait till morning.

Oh Bo*****s... I just read the posts I missed...

lol. He got most us with it, the cheeky bugger :batman:

:wheelchair:To everyone who got it right, you win a burger at the ZedWorld bash, I'm sure Jeff won't mind.........lol, you have to admit though, it was quite a good wind up to some......pmsl..........:duffer::duffer::duffer: Really, after seeing and treating the aftermath of what can happen whilst drunk behind the wheel, I would never contemplate driving after having one drink, never mind 5 pints....lol.....but I have to use my wheelchair to get home.:oops:
