I'll be here biatch :tank: lol

I reckon on mine now I have stuck over 65K into it. Technically I think as a car it might be worth about 10-15K to someone who wanted it. To me it is priceless... 10 or 15K would not buy you half the car my Zed is for that kind of money. Maybe the right way to sell these cars is to massivley upgrade them and ask for massively high prices. The people with real money who have 3-4 play things in the garage would not think twice about spending 30-40K on a car if it was modified right. But these are not the kind of people that would probably want one at like 5-10K. Or want anything that looks like it has been built up doing a drive through at Halfords.

Basically if I ever wanted to sell mine I would need to part it out as it is worth more as the sum of the parts rather than as a car. And seeing some of the prices in the for sale forum actually being more than the bits new I might even turn a profit on it LOL.

Two words "Silver Streak"

Look how much Stuart put into that car! in money and blood sweat and tears.

Blood sweat and tears dont come cheap but it makes one hell of a car.

I know i now own her, the amount of money he put into that car [most of it documented in my hands] was amazing, and the end results shows this. The car is a real beast but at the time he put it up for sale no one [inc me] would not pay the price.

He sold it for quite a lot less then he should have done in my opinion because it is always going to be labelled a 6.5k car [or less] and its worth a lot more then that.

But saying that i could not get any interest when i put her up for sale for 6.5!!!

As been said most of us know what our cars are worth but to get it...its a different matter. If the car has good club history and the work well documented its should be worth all the money, but probably only to anouther club owner who knows that particuler car.

But as shown with Silver Streak any body outside the car club would not really know/appreciete what work and money that went into producing that car, so to get good money the car would really have to go to a club member [which it did twice] you would think anyway but it did not:confused:.

So why is it that???? buggerd if i can answer it:tt2:

Because it's got a crappy license plate on it. You can give it to me if you like, I'm sure it will then sell without any hassle :).

P.s.

I now drive an E39 M5 do I get a :ban: ?

I see exactly what you're saying here. You'd never get back what's been spent on it, which is a fair assesment, all be it unfortunate.

Also, people with 30 - 40k probably wouldn't even consider spending it on a 15 year old car that's probably got no history with it anyway.

But Thats not just unique to a Zed, There are not many cars you can buy chuck money at as project and expect to recoup any where near what you have lashed out.

By the way I would Love to own Zelda:drool::drool: But not at that Price

I was very Tempted to Buy Silver Streak:drool::drool: But I could not bring myself to lash that money on a car that age (No Offence and the car is worth every penny but I am just making a point of what many will think)

So I bought a BMW B3 Instead :oops::ban::laugh::laugh:

Thats an F50 you muppet - shame on you

who are you calling a muppet! :2guns:

So gruntpas put a deposit down for the F40 then eh?

Sorry to hear about your late mother, but blimey, talk about silver lining. When my old dears snuff it i'll be lucky to get an Austin Allegro!

Thats a horrible thought - moving on.

So which one is yours Gruntpa?

Call yourself a petrol head? Pah :tt2:

Give yourself twenty lashes with the Birch, then learn the entire Fezza back catalogue including one-offs, race cars and prototypes - then you can call yourself a real man!:winkiss:
