i have tryed that still the same i have to keep puting it in to n to brake and when it gose into drive put my foot down to stop it from stalling

m not sure if there is an idle control from the at box ecu to te engine, check all your electrical plugs first,

That's pretty high should be around 750 when warmed up. Why did you have to change the at ecu?

it also had an engine rebuild before i got it, it drives and idols all the time in neutral or park,. just when you go to select drive with your foot on the brake it goes to die unless you go to hit the gas fast then it pulls away or if your coming up to lights and you hit the brakes to stop it goes to stall unless you hit neutral then you can keep it running

as said I would get the timing checked and also check that the throttle position sensor is correctly adjusted.

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?

have not really driven the car as no mot, but drove around garage and it picks up and drives nice except from the stopping or slowing right down or selecting drive or reverse, tries to stall unless foot put on gas, its like i can hold the foot brake on and my other foot on the excelerator to bring revs up then select drive then realease brakes slowly that stops it from stalling but dont think thats doing it any good?

it has had a new timing belt, could it be one tooth out could that stop the stalling?

fuel filter changed not that long ago so i got told, when the engine was rebuilt? plus it had loads of new vacum pipes and it has had a vacum test, no leaks

how do you adjust the throttle position sensor? is that the black box with 2 cables, one on and one off? and it has 2 screws?

i was on google trying to find out what it could be and some people have had the same thing but on different cars and they were saying that the torque converter control solenoid tcc might cause it, do you have any idea what they mean, where is that on the car?

Hi tim it's westley here the tsp was all checked & set up perfect,( don't move it as it's so fine the adjustment u may think youve put it back right but without the conzult or a meter u wont tell!!) also tried all the idle stuff too that was set up on conzult(laptop) I still think it's either the timing or a boost leak although we tested it for a boost leak we did see some air escaping around injectors when we sprayed soapy water around them??

i think some one on here said about the timing

Yeah we will start with that & work back then at least we know the basics are covered !
