I might give it a go then, worked on MOD planes for years with my hand and head stuck in small places....:pinch:

Engine in/out makes little difference. The difficulty in fitting is inside the car, as it comes through the bulkhead behind the glovebox.

Yep, did mine with the engine in, as said, makes little difference, you just have to master the bracket behind the glovebox that holds the loom before it reaches the ECU, I could do one in no time at all now I have done it once, but at the time it was a nightmare because I didn't know what I was looking for, read up and ask as many questions as you can, but it is piss easy if you know how, so don't be put off...

nah, it's fairly straight forward even with the engine in, just that damn bracket thing, i know what you mean tho, you couldn't do it your way with the engine in, wouldn't be able to chip away at that bracket, i took my dash out, although now i have done it i could probably do it just takin the glovebox out... i also didn't have to de-pin any plugs?

recently did mines and it was a pig with the engine in! i removed my aircon at the same time which made it a bit easier.

dan.

well i'm getting rid of my egr, so can loose some vac piping from the egr and aiv solenoids, i'm gonna need a bigger bin :)
