Can anyone give me an idea of how much it would cost to have an OEM replacement spoiler professionally painted. It's been a long time since I had any work done, I'm guessing maybe £80, but could be totally wrong.

I've painted and lacquered a spoiler in the past myself with good results, so considering doing it again.

Alternatively any idea of the cost of having the original spoiler holes filled then the tail gate sprayed.

By replacement,is it F/glass?-or original sponge. The ponge one will be more to paint.

I reckon £80-£100 for a 'proper' shop to do it.:ninja:

If it's a fibre glass replica then I'd go the whole hog and get the body shop to paint and fit it all in one.....

......And whilst I don't know, if you have bought a FB replica, what condition it's in; but I bought a new one for my red ZX about 6 years back and it needed a lot of prep/sanding before painting. I think it cost me around £200-250 to sand/prep/paint and fit in the end.

Oh, and they removed the old one as well....

I haven't bought a replacement yet, but it will be a fibre glass one as I don't see any point in putting a nasty sponge back on. I'll probably get the Car.Mad one for £120. I'm looking at the options.

£50 to £100 doesn't sound too bad! I'd do the prep myself, the old spoiler is off already so need to worry about that.

TBH I like this - http://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=330&category_id=87&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7

I'm hoping (with all fingers crossed) to put a bike rack on the back you see, so can't go with a huge spoiler, I think the OEM will be ok.

I imagine having the lower skin fitted by a shop would be costly...and I'm looking more for a low cost option right now.

Thanks all, at least I have an idea now! :)
