Does anyone know if the non digital heater and a/c control pod can be replaced directly with the digital one ?

My '95 has the non digital (oddly nissan thought it a good idea to go backwards ?) and I would like to swap over to a digital one if its not a major job !

Unfortunately not a straight swap, infact it might not even be possible. It hasnt been done yet, but has been discussed, might be worth you doing a search and looking for the threads about it, might give you more insight to the issues involved.

I think it was a money saving exercise by Nissan along with no turbo guage etc

Oh bugger, that's peed on my cornflakes then !

I was hoping they saved money by changing the pod, without changing anything else.

Surely redesigning the looms must have been more expensive than using existing ones :confused1:

Oh well, I guess I need to look for the temp control knob to put on the end where mine is missing ... :surrender:

Its not just the looms, but the actuators for the climate control, meaning gutting and replacing the ducting, fan box etc.

Nothing is impossible lol, just whether its worth the hassle. You would either need another car as a breaker for the parts or put up a huge list, but you may still not end up with what you need.

I haven't been around here long, but if you lot haven't done it, its a good enough reason for me to abandon the idea

Thanks guys, the answer may not have been what I wanted to hear, but its put me straight

No worries mate, you will always get an answer lol, even if its not the one you want to hear
