Don't think there's that much between the UK and JAE spec, some say the JAE will not be as prone to rust I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong....lol, I have a JAE spec 1989 N/A, and I wouldn't swap it for the world, I love it. No difference in insurance now either, or very little. Being on the Wirral, I'm not too far from you, if you want to come over the other side of the great Mersey river, you are welcome to have a look at my Z, take a run in it see what you think, have a cuppa.....:thumbup1:

Welcome. All uk cars are twin turbos. Na's were never available. You will be looking at an na auto or possibly a manual for that money. Good luck with the search!

What's a JAE spec? :rofl:............ Sorry :blush:

Jap specs rust just as much as a UK would, it depends on how well they have been treated on arrival here, as in underseal etc.

Welcome, and best of luck in your search.

Hi Dan, welcome to the club. Theres a couple of N/A's on ebay within your price range and a couple of TT's that need a bit of work, but i would look at having a few quid put by for modding and running costs.

Forgot to mention i want a 2+2 pref with a long test .

Welcome, just to not confuse you anymore.

SWB = Short Wheel Base (2 Seater)

LWB = Long wheel base (4 seater)

TT = Twin Turbo

NA = Naturally Aspirated

UK Spec = If not taken care of are prone to rust, only one Model LWB TT can come in Auto (Very common) or Manual (quite rare these days). Heated mirrors, some also have heated seats, and normally contains Tweed or Leather interior.

Jap Spec = Imported from Japan, not as prone to rust (Japan doesnt throw salt down like we do :no:), features folding mirrors, TT or NA, SWB or LWB, Convertible or Slicktop. :laugh:

Any more questions just ask. I'm sure if you spot something you like, some people in you're area will be willing to help you look at the car you are interested in and can help.

JDM = Japanese domestic market Normal term for a jap spec car.. As Dave_zed (said) JAE = Japanese Auto extravaganza...

God im on fire tonight... I'm here all week!!

Lol, yeah could be.......... I don't mind anyone taking the p*** out of me....lol, while doing that they're leaving someone else alone.....hee hee......

Scousers can take as much as they give........ but at the end of the day, they do give others a lot of stick..........:lol:....:thumbup1:....not trying to p*** anyone off here, just fun banter to me, hope it is taken in the way it is meant, I don't mean to upset anyone at all:thumbup1::thumbup:.......:lol::punk:

I wasn't too sure in this day and age of political correctness weather the word Jap is acceptable, which is why I abreviated it to JAE, sorry......lol...:blushing:

:tt2: I am taking it that JDM=Japanese derived model? Is that right?

Cheers guys......:devil2:
