Its not the end of the world, its just when you live on a really really tight budget, repair bills like this are a nightmare. Decided to sell the car, because I actually hate it

Oh i wish!! Yes, one day, but not til after I finish my nurse training, unless I magincally find myself better off at Uni than working lol.

Plan is to try to cope driving a hateful car like a corolla (6 weeks into ownership and I am not coping well lol) and then treat me to a lovely TT SWB when I qualify and get a job.....

Already decided to sell the Corolla and get something else. Its soooooo dull, might even consider sommat like a little Puma or an older Golf GTI just because I hate driving an old man car!

Puma's are great cars! Not very practical but handle well I believe!

Citroen Saxo vtr/vts (although hard to find and expensive to insure) are brilliant little cars, suprisingly quick, good handling, cheap to run cheap to fix and cheap to buy. Obviously avoid the ones with 19's on and exhausts you can put your head down, but a standard one is quite nice. Reliable as the hills, a friend of mine has one and despite him trying his hardest to kill it for the last 4 years and 60k it hasnt missed a beat!

Will be nice to see you back in a Z Janus. What nursing are you going into? I was all set to go to London Psychi nursing when I finished college after studying a pre nursing course, but obtained my job in the ambo service just before, so stayed home and done that instead. How much longer is your uni course? I have a lot of contacts in nursing, so if you ever feel like a move to Liverpool I may be able to help....:thumbup1:

Did you buy it from a dealer? maybe you can get them to cover the repair costs?.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune and hope you fnd a solution.

Cheers Max. Its just from a old chap round the corner, had it from new, only done 68k miles. ITs wear and tear, just annoyed that it didn't show up on a test drive and has only just started getting bad.

Solution is to wait til I have the dosh next month to get it fixed and hope i don't need a car before then. Def no Zedworld bash for me tho

My worst day of the year will be tomorrow as I've got a funeral to go to

Just to help me feel better my cat came down with a virus on Saturday which meant I had to take him to the vets at 2am Sunday morning. He's been in the vets since and they still don't know what it is yet.

So now I'm really worried about him :crying:
