Hey guys. Introduction time!!

My name's Panayodis Jr Costa but everyone either calls me Pete or Pedro. I'm 22, been working in the construction trade since the age of 15-16, set to be married October 8th and I LOOOOVE my Japanese Classics!!

I've recently bought my first house( :cool3: ) not far from my current home and for years and years I've always noticed this "Red, Japanesey looking" car sitting on the drive next door to mine and it never ever moved. Upon closer inspection and a little research I've discovered it's an old (not sure what Reg) 300ZX Glass-Top in completely original condition. It seems to be in quite a good state with the only visable rust being on very bottom of the rear 1/4. All the chrome trim and glass is in great condition and the rain deflectors aren't toooo faded either :biggrin:

It's owned by an old guy who I think may not be capable of restoring it himself anymore. You can see where he's had a go in small patches here n there but looks like he may have made things worse if anything! lol. Anyways, I spoke to his grandson and he said they could do with getting rid of it and I thought it would look quite nice on my drive :devil:

I'm no Newbie when it comes to buying/selling cars but I would like a little advice with this one. What are they worth in general?! Is there a cut-off point I should consider incase the engine/box/electrics etc is FUBAR'd?!

Nice to meet you all and I look forward to being part of the club! Regards, Pedro :thumbup1:

Hi Pete and welcome to the club. Theres a few z31's here but this is a predominantly z32 site, hopefully you will be able to get some answers you are looking for.

Hi and welcome to the club, Pete.

Have a look at my one in the for sale section here.

It is cheap as chips, just need the sills welding for the next MOT.

And localish to you.

Hi Pete welcome to the club and if the z31 needs a lot of work be carefull it could cost a fortune better to buy a z32 with no issues as it could work out cheaper in the long run.

Hi Pedro, and welcome to the club mate, in total agreement with Gary wilson on this one mate......:punk:

Hi Pedro, Welcome to the club! As said previously by the lads, It sounds like a Z31 model next door to you, even though they are great cars they are not a patch on the later Z32, The Z31`s are selling very low at the moment and rarley fetch over £900 for a half decent one, I have seen them go for a lot more (£3000+) but most people would rather put a little extra towards a Z32!! If you really want it I would offer £350 for it, but Thats just a wild guess at what its condition is like, But if your budget is tight you will be getting a great car and an indroduction to Nissans finest sports cars and maybee a bit of an investment!!:thumbup1:

this is my Z31 below;
