Hey,

Ok, can someone please tell me what the 'Rec' and 'Ecom' (or Econ?) buttons do?

Also, does everyone else's reset back to 25 degrees when you restart the car? I wish it would remember my last settings!

Cheers!

Edit - Whilst I'm asking, what exactly does the Auto button do, just hold the temp at whatever temp is set? That's what I figure it does?

Featured Replies

Rec= Recirculation, Econ=no compressor running,Auto=Blows air at set temp to where the sensors tell it to.

Mine deffo doesn't reset when I start the car.

The AUTO function switches on the Climate control and keeps the cabin temp at what you have set.

It sounds like you may have a bad earth somewhere as it should keep your settings.

Thanks, it makes sense really. I thought Econ deavtivated the compressor / air con. Rec is obvious now, should have realised!

Hmm, interesting that it should keep the settings. Something, a chip somewhere must remember the settings, so if not a bad earth could be that.

i find if i ever have my battery disconected then the default setting seems to be 25. however my ambient temperature i'm sure is wrong and never goes higher than 15, even in the summer so i'm sure i've got a dodgy temp sensor.
