think the guide reccomds to run the box through the geras when running then test in neutral, theres a cold and hot side to the dip stick. the fluid should be nice and pink and smell like auto fluid not like either toat or candyfloss cant rember. if it looks brown it probally needs changing

The manual states.....

AT oil should be checked when hot - although if you've been on a long fast m-way run, leave it to rest for a short while first.

Have the engine running, then starting from "park" move the shifter through all the positions then back to neutral; then remove the dipstick and check the level.

It's also a good idea to check the condition of the fluid. It should be a clear pinkish-red; smell it as well - if it's brown or you detect a burnt smell then make sure you have the fluid drained and changed.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
